Free GLP-1 Dose Calculator
All calculations happen in your browser. Nothing is stored or shared.
Click counts on GLP-1 pens vary between batches and have been found to differ even between official sources. Rather than giving you a fixed number that may not match your pen, this calculator shows you how to work out your own clicks accurately using your specific pen.

How to find your click count
Find your pen concentration
Look at the label on your Ozempic pen. It will show the total semaglutide content and volume, for example 4mg/3mL or 8mg/3mL. Divide the mg by the mL to get your concentration in mg per mL.
Example: 4mg divided by 3mL = 1.34mg/mL
Calibrate your specific pen
Because click counts vary between batches, the most accurate method is to calibrate your own pen against a known dose marker.
Find the 0.5mg marker on your pen dial. Starting from zero, slowly turn the selector and count every click until you reach the 0.5mg marker. Write this number down — this is your clicks per 0.5mg for your specific pen.
Calculate your dose
Enter your prescribed dose and we will calculate your clicks based on your specific pen calibration.
Why does this matter?
Research published in Diabetes Care found that click counts vary between pen batches. A 2023 ADA report recorded 74 clicks for a standard dose. A 2025 ADA report recorded 72 clicks for the same dose on the same pen. Your pen may differ from both. Always calibrate against your own pen.
Expiry reminder
Discard 56 days after first use regardless of remaining medication.
This calculator is for reference only. Click counts on GLP-1 pens are not officially sanctioned by Novo Nordisk or Eli Lilly and vary between pen batches. Unit calculations assume a standard U-100 insulin syringe. Always follow your prescriber's exact instructions. Lysa Health does not provide medical advice.
